Submissions

Before you send your music to Line Out Records please ensure you have read the below submission guide.

We cannot guarantee a response to every submission but we do listen to them all and keep them on file.

All submissions will be considered for all aspects of Line Out, including: release, radio play, podcast play, sale through our shop, sessions, gigs and anything else we are up to. You do of course retain all rights to your submission.

What to send

Please send submissions either as a CD or as mp3s. We do not accept tapes, minidisks, myspace links, wmas, wax discs, pages on websites that stream the music at us. If we cannot stick it on an mp3 player or include it in a show, don't send it.

You may include biographies or press packs but they are certainly not necessary and help kill the rainforests. An email is enough.

CDs

Mark clearly with the name of the band and contact details.
Include a tracklist.
Complete tracks only. No excerpts.

Mp3s

Make sure you complete the ID3 information in your mp3 correctly.
Name your file appropriately. MySong234.mp3 is not good and will get lost. Best to include the bandname and trackname. i.e. DeathBoy_CheapShot.mp3
Files should be of a reasonable quality, preferably over 128 KBPS.
Complete tracks only please short 'sample' tracks will not be considered.
Either email the files directly or send direct links to the files*. DO NOT send a link to a website where we have to hunt for the files or links to streaming tracks that we cannot download.

* Please link DIRECTLY to the files on a webserver, not through a third party file transfer service such as RapidSend, YouSendIt, etc.
