On track for town’s CD
20th August 2004 - The Maidenhead Advertiser
A SKA band have agreed to donate a song for a new compilation CD of Maidenhead musicians.
So far 11 bands have signed up to the project to showcase the town’s up-andcoming and established talent, produced by Line Out Records and Where It’s At Is Where You Are (Wiaiwya).
The latest addition has yet to come up with a name, but join the likes of indie rock band Kid Galahad.
Former St Piran’s pupil John Jervis, of Wiaiwya, said there was still room on the CD for 10 more songs and urged other musicians to get involved.
He said: “Bands keep on signing up, it is all ticking along. We need to have all tracks by the end of September so we have a month to master it and get it all ready in time for release in December.”
All contributing bands will receive 25 copies of the CD to give away or sell. Sponsors will have their details included on packaging.
